Fran Merida is pleased with his progress at Arsenal this season.

The young Spanish midfielder has seen action in the Cup competitions this term and said: "I'm happy because I've had chances in the first team in the Cup and I have made my debut in the Premiership and been involved in the Champions League.

"Little by little I'm getting minutes. For this, I work every day in training, to continue to stay in the plans of the coaches."
