Fran Merida is happy at Arsenal.

The Spain youth international midfielder has been linked with Real Sociedad ahead of the January market, but he says: "I am very happy to continue my career here.

"I arrived at the age of 16 years and I adapted immediately. The seven months I spent on loan at Real Sociedad was very useful for me and helped me to grow and forced me to fight.

"I often train with the first team and I have collected some appearances in the Carling Cup. I can only be satisfied with how I am progressing."
