Seattle Sounders draftee Bryan Meredith is hoping he can simply improve his game in his first season with Seattle Sounders.
The 21-year old goalkeeper was picked up by the MLS club with selection number 29 in the 2011 SuperDraft, joining former USA international Kasey Keller and Puerto Rico number one Terry Boss in the keeping ranks at Qwest Field.
He understands that he will need to do plenty of hard work to turn himself into a top-line goalkeeper and is prepared to listen, learn and train to allow that to happen.
"I don't expect to come in and compete for a starting job. That's a little unrealistic. But I expect to come in here and learn as much as I possibly can. Try to make myself better every day," he said.
"No matter where I went (in the draft) I was going to go in and work my butt off as much as I can and try to prove myself.
"I'm not thinking a couple of years down the line. I'm not thinking next week. I'm thinking about going out to the next training session and playing the best I can."
