Former Ajax goalkeeper Stanley Menzo has slammed talk of a Holland recall for Manchester United No1 Edwin van der Sar.

"The demand for Edwin van der Sar to return I cannot understand. It is soothing to him, but not good for football," rapped Menzo, now coach of Cambuur.

"If Van der Sar was now to return, how can anyone else get much needed experience?"
