Celtic full-back Adam Matthews insists you need to have plenty of mental strength to play for the Glasgow giants.
The 20-year old Welshman has impressed during his debut season at Parkhead after crossing from Cardiff City and he suggests that the expectations on a player at a club such as Celtic are much different to what he has experienced elsewhere.
"The expectations are the biggest difference from Cardiff. When you come to a club like Celtic they expect you to win the games. You need to play well.""When you play for Celtic you have to be mentally strong. You are expected to win every game and I've adapted to that quite well this season. So hopefully the whole team can kick on," Matthews said.
And Matthews is determined to put his best foot forward as the Hoops prepare for Sunday's League Cup final against Kilmarnock at Hampden Park after losing to rivals Rangers last year.
"Last year's final makes me all the more determined. It was a great atmosphere and the Celtic fans were brilliant, even though they saw their team lose unluckily. I'd love us to go one better this time for them.""I came up for last season's League Cup Final although I was disappointed we lost. But I'm hoping we can go one better this time," he said.
