Mensah has not signed permanent Sunderland deal - agent

The agent of John Mensah says his client has not completed a permanent move to Sunderland.

The 28-year old Ghanaian centre-half is in his second year on loan with the Black Cats from French club Lyon with reports suggesting he was set to sign permanently.

But Fabian Piveteau told skysports.com that Lyon and Sunderland have not agreed anything for Mensah.

"The reports in France are not true, it is not agreed," Piveteau said.

"There was an option, where if he played 25 games then the deal would become permanent - but that is not possible now as there are not enough matches left in the season.

"That matter is with the clubs, and what Lyon want - you will have to ask them."
