Jeremy Menez is weighing up his future at AS Roma after being axed for their draw with Fiorentina.
The French international spoke to L'Equipe after finding himself benched regularly under new coach Vincenzo Montella.
"Since Montella took over, I haven't been playing as much," said Menez.
"I do not understand the tactician's decisions, but I must accept them. I won't deny it is a surprise that I end up on the bench so regularly.
"We had the opportunity to talk, but his words did not seem sincere. He said there were some things the team could no longer do and we couldn't play with three forwards any more."
