Mendieta heaps praise on Arsenal skipper Cesc

Former Spain star Gaizka Mendieta admits he's proud to see Cesc Fabregas doing so well at Arsenal.

Ex-Middlesbrough midfielder Mendieta has been impressed with Fabregas.

He said: “Since he began playing for Arsenal at such a young age his influence has become bigger.

“All of Arsenal’s young players are great to watch but his form this season has been extraordinary. He’s in great form and he’s scoring goals and playing well for Arsenal and Spain.”
