Former Spain international Gaizka Mendieta is backing Radamel Falcao to be a Premier League hit.

Falcao is expected to join Chelsea in the summer.

"Radamel Falcao would be fantastic in the Premier League," Mendieta told talkSPORT. "He's up there with Robert Lewandowski as one of the best number nine's in Europe.

"Falcao wants to win titles and coming to England is definitely an option. If a club comes with a lot of money, then Atletico Madrid are willing to sell him."
