Fiorentina have claimed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has no objections to Emmanuel Eboue being used in a swap deal for Felipe Melo. The Italians appear interested in striking a deal that would involve wing-back Eboue, who is seeking regular first-team football in the new season.

"(Arsenal manager Arsene) Wenger wants to talk to me," said Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino to Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I have no objection also because Eboue seems a valid swap."
