Melo: Joining Juventus makes me happy man

Fiorentina midfielder Felipe Melo is in Turin today for a Juventus medical and to complete his transfer. La Stampa says Melo will undergo his tests at the Olimpico under the guidance of Juve medical chief Giuliano Cerulli. If there are no hitches, Juve will announce the signing this afternoon.

Melo has agreed personal terms over a five-year, £10 million contract with Juve and leaves Fiorentina in a £20 million transfer, which also sees Marco Marchionni join the Viola.

"We can win everything, even the Champions League," said Melo. "Now I am a happy man. I have a wife, three sons and I am playing for Juve."

After the Melo deal, Gazzetta dello Sport says Juve will intensify their pursuit of Oympique Lyon left-back Fabio Grosso.
