Juventus defender Olof Mellberg has urged Aston Villa to keep Gareth Barry.

Ex-Villa skipper Mellberg - now at Juventus - said: "It's really important Villa keep their best players.

"We had a good season last year, so hopefully Villa can keep challenging. And that will be good for him and the club."
