Former Chelsea and Ajax defender Mario Melchiot says Frank de Boer will be good for Crystal Palace's young players.

The former Ajax coach was confirmed Palace manager yesterday.

Melchiot told talkSPORT: "He will give young guys the opportunity.

"That is great for the young players when someone comes into a club who will play young players, and now is the time for them to show their talent and that they can play in the first team, so keep your head down, you will get a chance."
