Melbourne Victory striker Ney Fabiano has been hit with a nine-match suspension for spitting. The independent Disciplinary Committee, comprising John Marshall SC (Chairman), Danny Moulis and Milan Blagojevic, found that the offence of spitting at a player was established and has imposed a sanction of eight matches over and above the mandatory match suspension, giving a total sanction of nine matches.
Fabiano was sent-off for spitting in Melbourne's 1-0 win against Adelaide United on Friday night.
