Melbourne Victory have reportedly signed a Brazilian striker who is set to debut for the club on Sunday.
Victory chairman Geoff Lord said at the chairman's dinner prior to Saturday night's Perth Glory match that the club had indeed made the signing of the unnamed player and will unveil him ahead of this weekend's Round 3 clash with North Queensland Fury.
The Victory have been linked with a number of names in recent weeks as they continue to cop criticism for not brining in a replacement for the injured Archie Thompson but it seems that has been rectified.
In more good news for the Victory, star playmaker Carlos Hernandez was yesterday cleared of any serious damage to his knee whilst striker Robbie Kruse is expected to recover from a hamstring strain for the Fury encounter.
