Melbourne Victory star Archie Thompson is enjoying playing under new head coach Jim Magilton.
The Northern Irishman took over after Mehmet Durakovic was sacked just over a week ago and his presence has already made a difference according to Thompson.
"He just looks like that one who can look at a player and say 'I need to talk to this player this way' or 'I need to manage that player that way.' It's not about how much you know about the game, it's about how you manage the players. I think he's really good like that.""I think Jim is a great manager," said Thompson. "He's had the experience of coaching some big clubs in the championship, QPR and Ipswich Town. He's just a good manager, the way he speaks to players.
Magilton has overseen one match with the Victory - last Friday's 1-1 draw with Adelaide United - ahead of Sunday's difficult trip to take on Perth Glory at nib Stadium.
