Midfielder Leigh Broxham has extended his contract at Melbourne Victory by three years. The 21-year old joined the club in 2006 and was a part of the squad that took out the 2006/07 and 2008/09 A-League championships.
Broxham struggled for regular game time last season but has played in every match this term as the Victory find themselves five points clear on top of the table after 16 rounds.
The Melbourne-born midfielder was reportedly approached by incoming club Melbourne Heart but never really wanted to leave the Victory and will now remain at the club until at least the end of the 2012/13 season.
Broxham has been in great form this season and continued that when he came on as a first-half substitute for the injured Grant Brebner in Saturday night's 4-0 win over Gold Coast United.
