A-League club Melbourne Victory have distanced themselves from a shock move for William Gallas.
Recent reports suggested that the two-time A-League champions were set to pursue the former Chelsea and Arsenal centre-back who is a free agent he was released by Tottenham in June.
However, a Victory source told tribalfootball.com that there is 'no truth to the rumours' that Gallas was in talks with the club.
The 36-year old Frenchman continues to be linked with Crystal Palace and QPR.
