Regardless of the result, the Melbourne Victory will have to fly out hours after playing in Saturday night's A-League Grand Final.
The reigning champions face rivals Sydney FC in the 2009/10 decider but if they win, there will be no celebrations as players and officials will fly out to Japan at 1:05am on Sunday morning.
The Victory meet J-League club Kawasaki Frontale on Tuesday in a must-win Asian Champions League match but have to travel there by Sunday to avoid jetlag on matchday 3.
If the Grand Final happens to go to extra time and/or penalties, the Victory are in danger of missing that flight. They are scheduled to land in Japan at 2pm on Sunday before preparing for the clash at Todoroki Stadium on Tuesday night.
