Melbourne Victory head to court after non-payment for Olympiakos game

A-League club Melbourne Victory have taken legal action after they were not paid for their part in a pre-season friendly with Greek club Olympiakos.

The Victory were promised $110,000 for the Etihad Stadium fixture in May but have not yet received the funds and have now lodged a statement of claim in the Victorian Supreme Court.

The club was supposed to receive the fee from promoter John Denison and company Denison Corporation Pty Ltd. by July 31 and will now take their case to the courts.
