Melbourne Victory boss Durakovic: I'm proud of my players

Melbourne Victory coach Mehmet Durakovic was furious with Matthew Foschini's dismissal after last night's blockbuster 2-2 draw with the Brisbane Roar.

Foschini was given a straight red by ref Ben Williams for a lunge at Thomas Broich.

"The second send-off was unacceptable," Durakovic said. "We had 25,000 people tonight, and mostly our supporters, and to get that is not acceptable. We're not a rough team, we like to play football.

"I'm really gutted for Matthew Foschini because he's not that kind of footballer. If you look at the replay, he didn't get him with his studs or anything. He got him with the side of his foot so it was at (at worst) a yellow card."

Durakovic continued: "Absolutely, I'm very proud of the players.

"I've been involved in football nearly all my life and their commitment was absolutely unbelievable. Their determination to help each other was absolutely fantastic and I couldn't be any prouder of these guys."
