Archie Thompson was thrilled that Liverpool announced that they are coming to Australia this year.
The Reds will head down under to take on Thompson's Melbourne Victory at the MCG on July 24 and although he was excited about the prospect, the Socceroos striker felt not enough attention was paid to the announcement with just a small snippet taking pride of place in the Herald Sun sports section.

Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, Pepe Reina and co. will travel to Melbourne during the Premier League offseason to meet the Victory just four days after arch rivals Manchester United play the A-League All-Stars in Sydney.
