Knee surgery has forced Melbourne Victory captain Mark Milligan to the sidelines for up to six weeks.
The 28-year old Australian international midfielder this morning underwent minor arthroscopic surgery on his troublesome right knee and is now expected to miss between four and six weeks of A-League action.
The Victory medical team opted to send Milligan for the procedure in order to have him back in action for the business end of the season and so he is fully fit by the time the 2014 World Cup comes around.
