Melbourne Heart unveil playing strip

New A-League club Melbourne Heart today doubled their signing of John Aloisi with the unveiling of their playing strip.

The second Melbourne team will wear red and white vertical stripes similar to English clubs Sunderland, Stoke City and Southampton, Greek club Olympiakos, Serbian outfit Red Star Belgrade and Spain's Atletico Madrid although some of those clubs wear dark-coloured shorts.

Since day one, the Heart were linked with red and white but it wasn't until now that the actual design of the shirt was made public with various other combinations being bandied about.

Melbourne Heart will enter the A-League for the 2010/11 season and will play their home games at the new rectangular stadium to be known as AAMI Park.

The picture of John Aloisi in the new playing strip was taken from the Melbourne Heart Facebook page and produced by 'Slattery Media'
