Melbourne Heart set up training base in Bundoora

The newest A-League club, Melbourne Heart, have set up their administration and training base at La Trobe University in Bundoora.

The suburb in Melbourne's north will be home to the club when they commence pre-season training next week and Heart CEO Scott Munn is looking forward to entering into a partnership with the main university in the area, La Trobe.

"As a football club, there were a number of criteria which we considered to be of paramount importance when canvassing the options for the location of our training base," he said.

"Most important of which was an ability to house both administrative and training arms of our club as well as provide ample access to various support services, including conditioning and medical facilities.

"We are thrilled to have established this partnership with La Trobe and hope to reveal more details of the enormity and magnitude of this very significant alliance in the coming weeks."
