Melbourne Heart secure Williams on new deal

Melbourne Heart have signed David Williams on a fresh two-year deal.

The 26-year old winger has scored 11 goals for the A-League club this season and has been rewarded with a new contract by the Heart.

"I am very pleased that I will be with the Club next season and beyond," Williams said in a club statement.

"I have been here since 2011 and have worked closely with JvS [Head Coach John van't Schip], so it is exciting to be continuing my career here.

"I am happy with how I have performed this season, but there is still plenty of work to be done and we hope to finish the season in a good position."

Williams joined the Heart from North Queensland Fury in 2011 and has gone on to become the club's leading scorer with 17 goals.
