Melbourne Heart's Bolton wants more consistency

Melbourne Heart goalkeeper Clint Bolton wants the new A-League club to begin playing with more consistency.

The Heart have improved with every performance in their opening five matches - recording a win, two draws and two losses along the way.

But Bolton is of firm belief that the positive results will start rolling in if they can sustain their impressive play for longer and has sent a warning to the rest of the league if they happen to qualify for finals.

''The team is starting to gel together a bit more, in patches … it's just a matter of keeping the tempo through the majority of a game,'' he said yesterday.

''We have been playing good halves, not so good halves, but if we get it all together we are going to be a decent team. We will give it a really good shake. Finals time we will be really hard to beat because we have got a lot of big-game players in our team.''
