Melbourne Heart's Aloisi undertaking UEFA coaching course

Melbourne Heart recruit John Aloisi will undertake his coaching licence over the next few weeks, clearly stating his intent for the future.

The former Socceroos striker is in London and will undertake a UEFA course for his coaching badges and the decision has been praised by Heart coach John van 't Schip who has revealed that Aloisi will play a major role in the development of the club's youth set up.

"The UEFA course is a great opportunity for John to start learning and get an understanding of the different methods and tactics used by various coaches around the world, as well as to begin making the change in mentality from player to coach," he told Heart's official website.

"And I am certain Melbourne Heart FC and John himself will only benefit from this exposure to a different way of thinking.

"Having played in Spain, Italy and England, John brings a very unique perspective to the table and I feel he is well placed to help build our Club's first youth team," he added.

"John has already been out and about scouting for young players who have the necessary skill set to suit our intended style and philosophy which will ensure the Club is well prepared for when we begin building the team."
