West Bromwich Albion flop Georgios Samaras is set for a move to Melbourne City this summer.
Samaras has endured a torrid spell at West Brom since joining the club at the start of last season and after being deemed surplus to requirements by manager Tony Pulis, the striker joined Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal on loan in January.
Former Celtic ace Samaras has now returned to West Brom but the club are keen on offloading the striker for good and according to the Birmingham Mail, the Greece international could be handed an escape route from The Hawthorns by Australian side Melbourne City.
Samaras' father, Ioannis, was born in Melbourne where there is a massive Greek community the player is acutely aware of.
