Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has lauded midfielder Raul Meireles as an "exceptional" talent. The 27-year-old Portugal international has started to find his form following a move from Porto in the summer culminating with an assured performance during Monday night's 3-0 win over Aston Villa.
"With Raul Meireles it was always just a question of time," Hodgson told the club's official website.
"He came from a different league but I never doubted his quality as a player. I always knew we'd get something out of him because of his exceptional ability.
"I'm sure we'll get even more out of him now, with the more games he plays as he settles more and more into life in England."
