A host of SPL clubs are ready to offer Billy Mehmet the chance to stay in Scotland, skysports.com reports. The St Mirren striker is out of contract at the end of the season and was linked with a move away from the club in January.
A number of Turkish clubs were understood to be keen on the former West Ham trainee earlier in the year, but now it is understood up to half the SPL could be keen on luring Mehmet away from Paisley.
Hearts and Aberdeen are understood to be amongst the leading contenders for Mehmet, who can leave for free this summer.
Mehmet is a popular figure with the Buddies, having hit double figures in their last two seasons.
