Gary Megson has been sacked as Bolton Wanderers manager.
Megson has been sacked as manager of Bolton Wanderers after 26 months in charge at the Reebok.
Megson's assistant Chris Evans and first team coach Steve Wigley will take temporary charge.
The decision was made after the Whites surrendered a two-goal lead against Hull City last night, meaning they would end 2009 in the relegation zone.
Megson had struggled for popularity among supporters since the day he walked through the doors at the Reebok in October 2007 to replace Sammy Lee.
