Gary Megson will keep his job even if Bolton Wanderers fail to beat the drop this season.
The Mirror says Bolton slipped four points from safety after losing to Arsenal on Saturday but owner Eddie Davies and club chairman Phil Gartside are satisfied with Megson's work.
The club were bottom with five points from 10 games when he replaced Sammy Lee in October.
