Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson insists he didn't force Sunderland rival Ricky Sbragia out of the club last year.

The pair clash today and Bolton boss Megson said: "There were so many issues at this club when I arrived it was untrue. Ricky leaving was nothing to do with me or him.

"He’d made his decision. I said I didn’t want him to go. It was something that had gone on here in the past. He’s a great bloke."
