Megson has ambitions to return and manage Wednesday

Gary Megson has no hard feelings towards Sheffield Wednesday over his surprise sacking and would love to return to the League One club in future. "I have no bitterness towards Sheffield Wednesday and there never will be," he told BBC Sport. "One day I'd love to go back and finish what I started. Wednesday are in great shape. And it would be sweet to see them go up.

"A club like Sheffield Wednesday should be in the top half of the Premier League to go in conjunction with the support it's got and the stadium it's got.

"I didn't join Sheffield Wednesday to work for any individual. It's just something I always wanted to do. I didn't want at any point to get to the end of my career or the end of my life and think I'd not managed Sheffield Wednesday."
