Sheffield Wednesday boss Gary Megson was relieved his side held on to beat npower League Two high-fliers Morecambe 2-1 in the first round of the FA Cup at the Globe Arena.
Megson said: "I always thought this was going to be the toughest tie we could have had. The TV cameras were here for one reason only really and that was to see us get beat.
"We were away from home against a side who are having a really good run in League Two and are full of confidence. It was always going to be a tough afternoon.
"But we played well for the majority of the game, kept the ball well and really could have had the game sewn up by half-time if we had taken our chances.
"The conditions favoured them in the second half and when they got the penalty, it gave them hope and they made it difficult for us. We had a few worrying moments, but, overall, defended well and I'm glad we're through and have got a home tie in the next round."
