Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson says they've tabled a bid for Sporting Lisbon star Miguel Veloso.

After their draw with Blackburn Rovers, Megson confirmed: "If we can bring him in, great, if not we need to move on sooner rather than later.

"We need to make sure we're not on a fool's errand. They've made it clear what kind of money they want, and we won't pay that.

"If that's a stalemate, then we will move on."
