Megson: Bolton not pursuing Tevez claim

Bolton boss Gary Megson has contradicted chairman Phil Gartside's claims the Trotters could take legal action against West Ham over the Carlos Tevez affair. Tevez scored twice in a 3-1 victory over Bolton at Upton Park on May 5 of the 2006/07 season, but Megson said: "Everyone will have some form of link to the Carlos Tevez affair when he was at West Ham, be it a direct or tenuous link.

"I think the only people who have got a really legitimate case are Sheffield United, and from our point of view, I'm positive we won't be doing anything about it."
