Bolton boss Gary Megson states his side must adapt their style if they are to avoid a relegation battle similar to last season.
A scoreless draw against West Brom on Saturday, following two other inadequate performances, has set the alarm bells ringing for Megson who must be wondering were the goals will come from now Nicolas Anelka and El Hadj Diouf have left.
"I think it was lively and both teams did everything in their power - apart from a bit of luck, both sides could have scored," said Megson.
"From our own point of view I think we played a little bit one-dimensional in the first half. In the second half it was entirely different.
"We did a lot of things well today, but there are things we felt we have to get better at if we want to improve our results."
