Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson admits they must improve their league position if they're to have a successful winter market.

Megson said: "You can have all the money in the world but if you're stuck in the bottom three players won't want to come to your club.

"But if we can move ourselves out of the bottom three by January we suddenly become a more attractive proposition.

"We will still be in a relegation fight after the New Year but if we've got a chance to improve the squad with better players we will have an even better chance."
