Mee excited for Burnley end of season run

Burnley's Ben Mee is very excited about the position the club finds itself in heading into the last few weeks of the season.

Burnley are still in the FA Cup, while they are hunting down Arsenal for 6th position in the Premier League. Their recent game saw the club win 3-0 against West Ham away from home.

For a club that is usually synonymous with relegation fears, it is a great change for the players and fans.

The acting captain said to the club's official site: "We struggled to get going first half [against West Ham], but it was a very good performance in the second half.

"We passed the ball much better. Woody made a big difference and it was a great finish from Barnesy to put us one-up. From there, we didn't really look in trouble.

"We've been grinding out draws and picking up points but it's really good to get back on the winning run away from home and it's two wins on the bounce now.

"We are looking forward to the last eight games of the season. We're excited about it and looking to get as many points as we can.

"We are in decent form. It's funny how it turns around. Rather than not having a win in 11, it's one defeat in six.

"It's really strange what happens. It's a completely different outlook and we are really looking forward and we're excited for these last few games and seeing where we can go and what we can achieve.

"We want to make it a really good season and one for the fans to really remember. That will be our aim."
