According to reports from Spain, Mediaset is to take on a package of live weekly free-to-air La Liga matches which were previously held by Marca TV, reports SportsPro. The new arrangement, which local reports suggest is not entirely unexpected as Marca TV effectively had a month-by-month arrangement with right-holder Mediapro, is due to kick-in from the start of April.

Mediaset's first game will be Real Betis versus Getafe on 1st April, with its deal set to run until 2015.
