Hull City defender Paul McShane believes that his side require at least 'two or three' wins in order to avoid the drop this term.
Hull were dealt with another huge blow in their hopes of avoiding relegation following the 2-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton on the weekend and the loss has left the Tigers perilously close to the bottom three.
Their current slump has led to many believe that Steve Bruce's men will eventually slip into the relegation zone before too long and defender McShane has admitted that the players are worried about their current predicament.
Nonetheless, the Irishman added that there is still belief in the squad that they will avoid the drop and has targeted as many as a trio of wins from now until the end of the season.
"We're not deluded as players, we're all worried about our position in the table. If we weren't worried about it, we really would be in trouble," he told the club's official website.
"We know the situation that we're in and we need to deal with it. It's hard to put your finger on why the results aren't coming for us. We just need to get one.
"We can talk about bad luck or whatever, but at the end of the day we need two or three wins. It's going to be hard but all we can do is look to the next game. We're the ones that go out onto that pitch and we need to stick together to sort this out."
