Aston Villa legend Ken McNaught has big concerns for his old club with Randy Lerner seeking to sell.
The claret and blue favourite reckons fans will become restless should the club not come up with a clear plan.
"It's a worrying time for Villa fans at the moment," McNaught, the 1982 European Cup winner, told the Express & Star. "It has been tough for the last few seasons but the fans, to their credit, have continued to turn up every week to support the team. "They have been brilliant with the support they have shown but clubs can't expect that kind of loyalty forever, especially with everything which is going on.
"I don't know what level season ticket sales are at the moment but I would have thought plenty of fans will wait and see before parting with their money."
