Norwich City will hand manager Paul Lambert any free cash he earns from a high table finish for the summer market.
Boss Lambert currently has his side 11th in the top flight and each place up the Prem table is worth £750,000.
Incredibly, just five points separate seventh and 14th going into the weekend.
City chief executive David McNally said: "This is why you don't get meaningless end-of-season games.
"We are a co-operative and any spare cash goes to the football manager. While we are here managing the club, that will be the case."
