McMahon: Dalglish has brought Liverpool coaching staff together

Liverpool reserves boss John McMahon says manager Kenny Dalglish has brought the club's coaching staff closer together.

McMahon says the ultimate goal is to produce players for the first team and he is predicting a very bright future under the stewardship of Dalglish.

"It's fantastic working with Kenny and having worked at the Academy previously he knows all of the players in the reserve team and U18 squad," McMahon told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"He knows the environment they are in and what we have at our disposal.

"The biggest thing is he knows the players inside out and he knows who is pushing on and progressing. He knows their weaknesses and their strengths, and it's the same with all of the staff as well.

"Kenny has got a great way about him and he doesn't just command respect because of who he is, he actually earns respect through what he does and how he goes about his job.

"We have regular meetings as staff always with Kenny, Damien Comolli, Frank McParland, Rodolfo Borrell and Pep Segura.

"We talk about ways we can keep improving, keep progressing and developing and that is what we are hear for.

"Kenny has brought everyone together and we all work closely."
