McLintock: Injuries won't derail Arsenal

Former Arsenal captain Frank McLintock insists the Gunners' Premiership campaign hasn't been derailed by injury.

McLintock told the Daily Express: "It's a good argument - the wheels have come off the bus slightly. But I don't actually think so, I don't think they have hit a wall. With such a young team, to do as well as they have done, is unbelievable really, they are fighting above their weight.

"They've surprised me this season, they've improved so much, as well as playing the football we all love to see.

"Their team spirit and organisation are good and they've fought against people who are maybe physically stronger and battled them much better than last year.

"I'm very confident that if they've got a reasonably full squad, they're going to do exceptionally well - and they'll come back against Chelsea."
