Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish is on the verge of signing a new contract with the club.

Talks between the two parties have been ongoing for some time but the Scottish tactician expects something to be sorted very soon.

"It is pretty good. I think we are pretty close and I think it will be nailed this week," he said.

McLeish, who has been at the helm at St Andrews since 2007, is expected to sign a three-year deal.
