Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish is still hoping to prove to the fans that he is the right man for the job.
The Scotsman took over at Villa Park this summer after departing fierce rivals Birmingham City but has the club placed 12th on the table with just four wins.
McLeish is well aware that he needs to improve results but feels confident that he can, with time, succeed.
"I'm still determined to do that and win over the Villa fans who have still got their doubts. It has been a rollercoaster six months but I've thoroughly enjoyed it.
"The first couple of weeks were difficult with a bit of wrangling here and there. But with the help of all the staff at Villa Park, it's been easy to settle in.""I said at the time I took over that I've got to try and prove I'm the right man for this job," said McLeish.
