Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish was pleased with Charles N'Zogbia's performance in their 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers.
McLeish singled out goalscorer N'Zogbia for special praise, with the lively forward looking a ready-made replacement for the injured Darren Bent.
McLeish said: "Charles could have had a hat-trick. He was looking very dangerous cutting in from wide on the right and he had a chance to put us 2-0 up when (Paul) Robinson saved point blank.
"It was a great inspirational run by Carlos (Cuellar) for the goal and we're looking for that kind of inspiration. I felt we played extremely well in the first half."
